Flexicon announces growing team

Flexicon announces growing team Due to its rapid growth, UK cable protection manufacturer Flexicon has extended its already experienced team by appointing Andy Carr as its quality engineer and Colin Fryers as regional sales manager for the East and North London regions.

Having worked in general engineering for 20 years, with 12 of those working in a quality role, Carr has joined Flexicon to support in its production of highly specified cable protection.

Ian Gibson, technical director for Flexicon said, "We are renowned for quality, and the final performance of each product is considered at every stage of the production process. However, as we expand, providing more and more products for safety-critical areas such as rail, hazardous and food, we wanted to ensure that our standards remained high. Carr's appointment will allow us to uphold our reputation in both general and demanding applications."

Colin Fryers has 21 years experience in the electrical industry, with 11 of those years working specifically in cable management.

Fryers began his career in electrical wholesale, so has a broad understanding of the electrical industry and the needs of contractors, spanning multiple markets. Having joined the flexible conduit manufacturer in June 2013, Fryers becomes part of an experienced Flexicon sales team, giving local support on a national basis.

Says Fryers: "Working for a UK manufacturer means that providing bespoke products and dealing with complicated queries is easier and in many cases a solution can be reached faster. I look forward to meeting new customers and rediscovering some familiar faces too."
