Technical Plasma Workshop joins Vacuum Expo and Vacuum Symposium

Technical Plasma Workshop joins Vacuum Expo and Vacuum Symposium

Xmark Media announces the UK's key events in 2014 for vacuum and technologies in a vacuum. Vacuum Expo and its partner conference, Vacuum Symposium, are to be held on the 15-16 October 2014 again at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry and will now be co-located with the Technical Plasma Workshop.

The Technical Plasma Workshop increases the breadth of the combined event as a whole, bringing a new subject and audience with it. TPW is an international forum in science and technology of plasmas and gas discharges. In recent years technical plasmas have found new applications in diverse fields ranging from nano-science, through biomedicine and environment, to space exploration.

The meeting comprises of invited talks, contributed presentations and a poster session. The focus of this year's conference is all about the revitalisation and reuse of older techniques now that there is a greater understanding of the technology and processes. "It's all about technical plasmas 'today', plasma-enabled applications, how problems are being overcome and where technical plasmas are going in the future" says John Simmons, head of the organising committee and a committee member of the IOP Plasma Physics Group who are a key sponsor of this meeting.

Comments on past events have confirmed that the venue is not only convenient to get to but that the event satisfies the need for an industry event that combines free training, a high level conference and an industry exhibition of suppliers, new and old, latest technologies and leading edge solutions.

Dr Gilles Rousseau, Technical Sales Manager at Allectra commented after last year's event," As Vacuum Expo has grown over the last four years, we have continued to benefit from participating in this event which successfully unites high technology manufacturers and customers. The 2013 exhibition was the right environment for us to work with our customers on unique solutions and share news with them about our new products and our innovation strategy."

Others echo enthusiasm for the event, "Vacuum Expo 2013 was the best vacuum exhibition for many years. It has the appeal of an excellent conference to draw visitors to Coventry", Ron Mitchell, Chell Instruments.

Vacuum Expo 2014 will open its doors on October 15t and 16 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry where it will be held in conjunction with the 5th Vacuum Symposium and TPW 2014.
