A unique shaft connection solution from Francis and Francis

The INKOMA PK offset coupling from Francis and Francis provides an innovative solution for the transmission of torque between axially parallel but displaced shafts.

The radial offset can be adjusted dynamically or statically within its operating limits. Movement at the input is faithfully replicated at the output: there is no relative motion due to displacements as there is with universal joints.

The couplings feature large fixed or variable, radially-free, sideways offset (in any radial direction) - between 5mm (Min.) and 288mm (Max.) - for parallel shafts, all in a compact, space-saving envelope. Freedom from restoration reaction side-loads means longer bearing support life.

The couplings offer high power transmission efficiency and high torsional stiffness, with backlash-free shaft. They transmit with true, constant angular velocity, and there are no end-thrusts, whatever parallel shaft misalignment. All components remain in perfect kinematic balance
