Enhanced protection is simple and cost-effective to implement
Combining versatility with multi-coded actuators that provide a high degree of protection against tampering, the new LS safety position switches from Moeller Electric offer a simple, efficient and cost-effective way of achieving enhanced protection for personnel and processes. The LS range includes switches with separate actuators, door switches with spring or magnet-powered retained actuators and switches for hasp and hinge operation.

Offering IP65 ingress protection to ensure reliable operation even in harsh environments, all switches in the range have operating heads that can be rotated through 4x90 degrees, giving a wide choice of installation options. In addition, the switches feature double-break contacts that are configured to ensure their suitability for use in redundant safety circuits. The contacts are interlocked and positively driven, as prescribed by IEC/EN 60947-5-1, and are suitable for use with electronic devices, such as programmable controllers, in line with the requirements of IEC/EN 61131-2.

LS4-ZB and LS-ZB safety switches have separate non-retained actuators, and are ideal for use with gearbox covers, press guards and in similar applications. With LS4-ZB switches, the actuator can be inserted from either side of the operating head, which allows horizontal or vertical mounting of the switch.
