Fast actuator delivery for machine builders

SKF has announced a new industrial actuator initiative, designed to help UK distributors and OEMs to speed up machine build, modification and repairs, while reducing stock-holding and benefiting end users. The range of industrial actuators, which includes selected CAHB and CAT electromechanical actuator series, is now available for delivery in just five working days ex-factory from Sweden.

Product selection and online ordering, which is also available for the full linear motion ranges with standard delivery, can be completed quickly and easily in just two steps through a simple selector guide and dedicated customer link.

Designed to operate reliably in harsh environments and temperatures ranging from -40 to 85°C at a 25% duty cycle, the SKF CAHB family features a robust corrosion-resistant design, sealed to IP66. It is available in two series: CAHB-20/21, for application loads between 2500 and 4500N, and CAHB-10, a compact solution for low-load applications up to 1000N.

The CAT electromechanical actuator's modular design enables simple and speedy interchange of critical components, such as motors, gears, screws, and attachments, whilst also delivering highly efficient performance. The CAT series is designed for application loads between 600 and 4500N and to operate effectively in temperatures ranging from -20 to 50°C.
