Fit and forget linear displacement transducer

Fit and forget linear displacement transducer Providing a simple solution to displacement measurement are RDP’s DCTH series long stroke transducers. With linear ranges from 25mm to 940mm, the DCTH transducers can be ordered with a choice of ‘free’ armature, ‘captive guided’ armature and ‘spring activated’ armature types. Because high quality signal conditioning electronics are fully integrated into each transducer, they provide an ‘easy-to-apply’ device that can be operated from either a single of dual supply from 20-40V DC with ±5V or 0-10V output, or with a 4-20mA output option. Suitable for measurement where there may be many millions of cycles or very high-speed movement, the DCTH series are extremely robust. Using the LVDT principle they readily suit applications where long-term reliability and continuing accuracy of measurement is important. The method is not only well suited to ‘fit and forget’ situations, but due to the absolute nature of the output is particularly appropriate for use in closed loop systems. Where information needs to be transmitted, noise-free, over long distances, then RDP’s long stroke linear displacement transducers can provide a very cost effective solution.
