High efficiency and stainless motors

High efficiency and stainless motors from Lafert Electric Motors to meet current and future mandatory energy efficiency requirements (IE3 and IE4) were all on show at PPMA, together with brake motors and enhanced hygiene promoting smooth bodied stainless steel motors.

Lafert's IE2 to IE4 motors are offered as standard units but non-standard is the norm, with over 90% of production being engineered to customer requirements with any combination of special shafts, flanges, windings etc. Further, where hygiene is a key concern, Lafert's 'Marlin' stainless steel motors are ideal for the food industry, offering the benefits of an easy-to-clean smooth body with no crevices to harbour bacteria, corrosion resistance with no flaking paint, and IP66 hose-down tolerance. Marlin power ratings are 0.18 to 7.5 kW in metric frame sizes up to 132 as TEFC machines. Smaller units (up to 0.75 kW) are also available from 63 frame size as TENV machines.

A range of stainless steel gearboxes are also available to complete the hygienic package.

Lafert also offers a wide range of permanent magnet synchronous servo motors and torque motors, delivering superior performance in a host of demanding packaging machinery applications.
