How to get the best machine performanceBespoke machinery can deliver huge cost savings and dramatically improve usability, functionality, efficiency and productivity
Machinery that does exactly what you want it to do, in the fastest way possible, and with very low running costs, is usually hard to source. Often we find ourselves putting up with an 'off the shelf' or 'old' machine that doesn't quite meet our requirements and wastes time and resources. Bespoke machinery is often the solution to this type of problem.
With bespoke machinery you can do things in the fastest and most efficient way possible as the machine is designed to do exactly what you require. This brings increased efficiencies and productivity to the working environment.
When purchasing a bespoke machine it is good to think through your whole production process as you can often free up floor space in your factory by combining machines into one custom-built, multi-function machine. You can also minimise set up times by integrating automatic or quick change systems for each of your processes. As bespoke machinery is custom made it can often be made to be vastly simpler than existing machinery. Factory produced machinery can be adapted to suit your production process, but often the machine will have many options on it that you never use.
A bespoke machine makes it simpler for the operator and there is less scope for human error. Further, with bespoke machinery built to suit your existing factory environment and designed to integrate into other existing machines in your production process, installation is often a lot quicker thereby minimising downtime in your production process. Reduced labour costs are also an added bonus of installing bespoke machinery as manual tasks can be automated and wasted human movement in transferring parts between machines can be eliminated.
Many people may be surprised to find that bespoke automated machinery is often cheaper than factory produced machinery that is already available on the market. Factory produced machinery often only performs some but not all of the tasks needed, resulting in the need to purchase multiple machines. Also standard machinery often has costly unnecessary features.
The ultimate results of installing bespoke machinery are cheaper machinery, faster install times and reduced running costs. This in turn results in increased efficiencies and productivity in your business which reflects on your bottom line as greater profits.
Granta has many years of experience in providing bespoke machinery for many different environments and industries. Projects to date have included everything from small medicine pot filling machines through to complete production line automation and monitoring systems. Granta offers a free project appraisal, starting with a site visit to get detailed requirements of what you require your bespoke machinery to do. The project appraisal gives basic design information and potential savings it will make and enables the investment in bespoke machinery to be analysed. Granta will work alongside you through all the stages of design, through to integration and subsequent modifications of the machinery. This enables you to have complete control throughout the whole design and build process, resulting in bespoke machinery that does exactly what you require.
