Igus extends robolink with direct drive arms

Igus extends robolink with direct drive arms

Igus has increased the capability of its robolink, the low-cost and easy-to-assemble modular robotics system with the introduction of direct drive arms that feature decoupled motors for optimised mass relocation. The new robolink DQ and SQ components include direct driven strainwave or worm gears, with six-axis electromechanical arms featuring square geometries.  Complementary tools, including grippers, hooks, vacuum cups, paddles or cameras, are also available. 

Engineers can select and combine robolink modular kit elements to match their application requirements and build complete and powerful, yet inexpensive robotic automation systems. When fully assembled, the robotic arm unit can be controlled via open source, free-of-charge, configuration-based software, also available from Igus.
