Improving pneumatics performance
Cutting air losses and speeding up reaction times are just two immediate benefits of using the latest AirBox from IFM Electronic. Combined with the new installation design and more valve options, the IFM ASi AirBox is now an even smoother way to run pneumatics. 

The new AirBoxes are easier to use than ever with the novel quick installation design that clips onto the base without tools and is held firmly. The ASi cable can run in three directions for neater installation.

Pneumatic functions are enhanced with new non-overlapping solenoids that offer additional air switching options of two 3/2-way valves, one 5/2-way valve (monostable/bistable) or one 5/3-way valve with blocked centre position. This valve function prevents, for example, dropping a load in the event of a compressed air failure due to the blocked middle position. In the past, providing such a function could only have been provided with additional accessories such as a pilot operated non-return valve, directly on the cylinder.

Pressure resistance is also now enhanced up to 12 bar, and the new AirBoxes have extended addressing. The additional fault LED as well as the LEDs for indication of the logical state of the PLC outputs are standard for all AirBox versions. In all there are nine new variants in the AirBox range, complemented by a range of accessories to aid installation.
