Inkoma KSO Oldham type couplings from Francis and Francis

This central "cruciform" element, simple 3-part coupling provides 'radially-free' slide actions (each at 90 degrees), transmits torque at high levels, backlash-free and at constant velocity. It absorbs all forms of misalignment (within strict limits) with low restoring forces.

With some vibration damping and electrical insulation, good fail-safe characteristic design and material and with an easy-replacement, 'Delrin', Nylon, or brass central element between aluminium, or steel hubs, it is a universally easy-fit solution.

Applications include: encoders, tacho generators, resolvers, transmitters and control drives. Shaft connections are flanged as standard or via bossed end discs.

The offset capacity ranges from '0' (in-line) to ±2.5mm.
