Integrated servo motion package

Integrated servo motion package New from Reliance Precision Mechatronics LLP, is the latest in closed loop integrated motor technology. Simple and compact, the new servo systems integrate an encoder, sensor, motor and motion control/driver electronics. Utilising a vector drive with incorporated H infinity control, they provide a cost effective closed loop position system. Providing 50,000 pulses per rev, the H infinity control accommodates a wide range of load variation during motion. H infinity control responds to dynamic loads across the entire speed range, reducing the need to tune gains, allowing higher inertia mis-matches and providing increased motion flexibility. In addition, and unlike microstepping devices, the vector drive gives smooth motion at low speeds. The versatile interface with multiple input capability – pulse (step and direction), analogue (0 to 2.5V), Serial (RS232 and RS485) and PLC – provides an easily adaptable motion control solution. The fully closed loop system constantly monitors position and eliminates missed steps whilst on board power management monitors and provides current based on load keeping the motor cooler than conventional stepper motors.
