Macros for electrics and pneumaticsEPLAN Electric P8 drives efficiency in engineering. Whether during design, development or maintenance, all processes benefit from standardised data that speeds up the product development process. EPLAN Electric P8 data for Festo motor controllers, stepper and servo motors as well as servopneumatic components is now available via online product catalogue.
This enables the quick and easy generation and documentation of circuit diagrams. Libraries for motor controllers, stepper and servo motors as well as their accessories - just as for servopneumatic components - are available via the online product catalogue for use within the E-CAD software EPLAN Electric P8.
The CPX macro library for components and modules for the electrical terminal CPX with around 700 macros is available on a CD-ROM in German and English. The EPLAN project with all the macros can be downloaded in PDF format.
EPLAN and Festo also work together when creating pneumatic circuit diagrams as the engineering tool EPLAN Fluid is linked with the Festo catalogue xDKI on DVD. This import function enables all data and pneumatic circuit symbols for Festo projects to be copied to EPLAN Fluid. Users can also purchase product data and fluid symbols in the EPLAN Data Portal - more than 17,000 are currently available.
The platform integrates all of EPLAN's CAx solutions, and is also used by EPLAN Electric P8. The direct and unrestricted link to fluid engineering - or, to be precise, to EPLAN Fluid (previously Fluidplan) - provides the perfect combination of hardware and fluid engineering. The same database and object orientation enable online references between the different document types. Changes in one place are immediately available for all relevant functions, regardless of whether for electrical or fluid engineering.
