Micromotors are small and short

Micromotors are small and short The two new DC micromotors from FTB, featuring an outer diameter of 15 or 26 mm, combine an outstanding power-volume ratio with an extremely small housing length. Available from small drives specialists EMS, the motors achieve a constant torque of up to 3mNm and speeds of up to 10.000 rpm. The low overall height is possible due to the ironless rotor construction, which comprises three flat oval coils. The rotor revolves with minimal moment of inertia in an axially aligned neodymium magnetic field, without cogging or iron loss. The precious metal commutation with its low transition resistances results in very low starting voltages. As a result, these motors are particularly suitable for battery operation, for example in portable devices. Available as geared motor with attached spur gearheads, the constant torque of the drives can be increased up to 100mNm. These two new super-flat, high-performance drives are geared to the most diverse fields of application.
