New force in fluid power and control

A new force in the UK fluid power and control market has been created, following the integration of Numatics Incorporated with ASCO Joucomatic Ltd. "The combined knowledge and expertise of our new organisation will strengthen the group and increase the value and scope of the services we provide to our customers," said Jean-Christophe Serkumian, ASCO Joucomatic's UK Managing Director. "We will be able to offer our customers benefits such as a broader product range and a larger stock holding; increased access to a greater number of technical support staff; more field sales people to assist on site; more comprehensive engineering facilities, - including development work and a dedicated systems building facility; increased logistics staff and facilities, and the support of a truly global network." Numatics serves manufacturing and packaging industries with a comprehensive product range that includes all major pneumatic component categories: air preparation, motion control, valves, and accessories. The company has manufacturing locations in North America and Europe, and sales offices in France, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Hungary, the Netherlands and Italy. Numatics has an extensive history of generating innovative concepts and technological breakthroughs; the company is known globally for its billion cycle lapped spool technology, which established a benchmark for valve performance that still stands today. Most recently, Numatics has been at the forefront of pneumatic fieldbus technology, the introduction of the 2005 and 2012 series valves with advanced integral fieldbus electronics establishing a new benchmark for industry. In the UK, Numatics is relocating from Leighton Buzzard to ASCO Joucomatic's Skelmersdale premises. The relocation will enable the combined organisation to benefit from an expanded resource providing enhanced systems building capability, logistics, stock, technical support and development resources alongside a large sales and marketing support team.
