New show puts spotlight on Northern manufacturing

New show puts spotlight on Northern manufacturing The Northern Manufacturing & Electronics Show launches at Manchester's Event City on October 2nd and 3rd 2013. The eagerly awaited event brings together a unique blend of regional firms and world-class manufacturers in a highly accessible, exciting new venue.

At 28,000m2, Event City is the UK's second largest exhibition facility outside London, providing the ideal venue for what promises to be a landmark event for industrial professionals across the North. The show follows the format of the extremely successful Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show, which this year attracted a record 8,500 visitors along with some of the largest machinery and industrial equipment manufacturers in the world.

Visitors to Northern Manufacturing can expect to meet a similar selection of suppliers, ranging from local firms to major international companies, such as The Eurotech Group, XYZ Machine Tools, Brother, Fronius UK, Renishaw, Nikon Metrology, Yamazaki Mazak and Trumpf. There's also an extensive seminar programme running over both days, offering free presentations by leading industry figures.

Over the last seventeen years, the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show has grown to become a key annual exhibition for UK manufacturing, drawing visitors and exhibitors from across the entire southern half of the country. Show director Phil Valentine comments: "Northern Manufacturing will bring a similar focus to manufacturing in the North, allowing easy access by industrial professionals from the Midlands, North Wales, the north of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Eire."

Machinery and production equipment, components, electronics and sub-contract services are just some of the areas covered by the show, which is popular with visitors from a wide variety of industries, such as aerospace, medical technology, defence and manufacturing. "We are very excited to be launching in the North," says Valentine, "and we're confident that the show is going to deliver real benefit for professionals from every branch of industry."

Entry to Northern Manufacturing & Electronics 2013 is completely free to business visitors, and Event City offers 3000 free on-site car parking spaces, with easy access by road, rail or air.
