Omron and RS Components consolidate strategic partnership in EuropeOmron Europe and RS Components have reinforced their strategic partnership with a new European agreement. This covers all markets in Europe, and the wider EMEA area including South Africa, and strengthens the RS offer in the automation and control sector.
The agreement incorporates every aspect of the partnership between Omron and RS, including sales and marketing support, stock management and continuous innovative product range development. This will facilitate easier collaboration, give more focus to the implementation of joint activities, and enable the two companies to proactively drive expansion of the product and service portfolio available to European customers.
Significantly, the agreement will enable RS to better meet its customers' needs by providing the best possible prices and a higher level of product availability across Omron's industrial automation range. This includes switching, safety, and control components, programmable logic controllers, sensors, motion controllers, drives and HMI.
Maurizio Poli, Sensing, Safety and Components Division Manager, Omron Europe B.V., said: "The agreement is a strong sign of commitment from both companies. It consolidates our strategic partnership by facilitating cooperation and engagement, to better serve customers at all levels across Europe. The high service distribution capability offered by RS will help us to reach a wider customer base and satisfy their needs for the highest quality and performing automation products."
Kevin Thompson, General Manager Maintenance at Electrocomponents, commented: "This agreement represents a key milestone in the relationship between RS and Omron in Europe and strengthens our offer in the automation and control market.
