Panduit launches Industrial Automation Zone System
Panduit Corp, a global leader in Unified Physical Infrastructure (UPI)-based solutions, has launched what it describes as a ground-breaking approach to the deployment of a manufacturing network that reduces installation time and saves operational costs.
The Integrated Network Zone System enables seamless communications between control rooms and the manufacturing floors within industrial facilities. Available in three configurations, the System includes an Allen-Bradley Stratix Industrial Ethernet Switch from Rockwell Automation for faster deployment and superior management and diagnostics. The System is pre-assembled in a NEMA rated 4/12 enclosure with structured cabling and cable management integrated together using proven design and installation best practices. The CE approved system also includes Allen-Bradley uninterruptible power supplies installed behind a touch-safe protective cover.
"The Integrated Network Zone System significantly reduces the costs and complications associated with integrating the plant floor and enterprise networks," said Steve Timian, Director of Industrial Automation Solutions, Panduit Corp. "This robust system will provide our customers with the ability to manage and improve manufacturing processes and productivity."
Panduit says the Integrated Network Zone System delivers up to 75% reduction in deployment time, localizes network traffic to improve resiliency, is engineered, tested and validated for optimal performance, and enables safe access and protection from electrical shock
Panduit and Rockwell Automation formed a strategic alliance to deliver integrated solutions to market and accelerate adoption of IP-based networks in October 2012. Together, the two companies are focused on providing optimized physical infrastructure solutions, effective collaboration between automation and IT, and integrated solutions and services for customers globally.
