Sensor signal conditioning module costs under £35
Penny and Giles has launched a new high-performance, low-cost, sensor signal conditioning module for any sensor that produces a 0-5V DC output signal.
The SSC unit, which retails in the UK for less than £35 for OEM quantities, is housed in an IP68 rated rugged metal enclosure and is suitable for OEMs wanting to convert sensor output voltage signals to a 4-20mA current signal.
The SSC is easy to use and features many options for a flexible-set up. As a result it suits a variety of applications, for example transmitting the output signal of a rotary position sensor linked to a steam valve in a power generating plant, over a long distance to a control room. SSC reliably converts a sensor's output voltage signal to a 4-20mA current output, or by using additional module cards, into a variety of different voltage formats or a digital PWM output.
