Shorter lead times on sliding disc couplings The popularity of the Huco Dynatork Oldham coupling continues to grow and this model has now been given another competitive edge. In addition to being available in the widest choice of materials to suit the application the Huco Dynatork Oldham can now be manufactured, in small batches from bar, in as little as two working days.

This customer benefit has been achieved through a combination of investment in flexible production technology and the adoption of lean techniques. "This has given us ultimate manufacturing flexibility and one piece flow," explains Managing Director, David Lockett. "And furthermore this improved service comes at no extra cost to the customer. It means minimal inventory and better business efficiency all round."

The Huco Dynatork Oldham is precision engineered throughout and comprises two hubs with inward facing tenons. These engage with matching slots spaced at 90° in a central lightweight torque disc. As the coupling rotates, the disc compensates for any parallel shaft offset by sliding the commensurate distance along each tenon in turn.
