Single barbed hose fittings replace Christmas trees

Single barbed hose fittings replace Christmas trees Users of flexible tubing can now obtain superior sealing by using single barb hose fittings and couplings. Many years of research and development have determined that multiple barbed hose fittings, also known as Christmas Trees, have barbs typically in close succession and as such, prevent the tubing from relaxing to its original size promoting rotational stress, wear and eventual leakage. The West Group provides a full range of fittings incorporating single hose barb designs to meet all fields of application. Barb sizes start from 1.5mm (1/16") to 25mm (1") diameter and can be supplied in a variety of materials ranging from brass and stainless steel to being precision moulded in polypropylene, kynar, polycarbonate, nylon and glass-filled nylon offering benefits of high heat and impact resistance. Manufactured to exacting standards the fittings are available in both BSP and NPT thread forms, tube to tube equal and reducing diameters, tees, elbows, Ys, manifolds, luer configurations and quick couplers.
