Speed control for single phase motors
Designed as a partnered pair, the MCR range of gearmotors and RM220E drives solve the long standing problem of controlling the speed of single phase motors. The gearmotor is a compact, low noise worm geared unit, with full ball and roller bearing support for the rotating parts, and a hardened steel worm and bronze wheel with hardened rim. It features a hollow output shaft, with stainless steel available as an option. The motor offers built-in tachometer feedback to the drive.

The drive provides a single potentiometer with four independent trimmers for speed control. Users can set start/stop speed ramps, response time and maximum speed. The drive is continuously rated, and speed can be held under varying load. The maximum output torque is 9Nm.
