Stylish win in Ginetta GT Supercup

Tom Ingram, the young UK motor racing star sponsored by vibration monitoring specialist Hansford Sensors, has won the Ginetta GT Supercup. Tom took the title in style, matching the Supercup record of eleven wins in a season with his fourth consecutive win of the competition.

Tom took the title after dominating the race at Silverstone. His win never really looked in doubt and he crossed the finish line with an impressive winning margin of 4.1 seconds. For Tom it was the highlight of a career that has already seen him win both the 2010 Ginetta Junior Championship and the 2011 Ginetta GT Supercup G50 Championship, backed by financial sponsorship from the likes of Hansford Sensors and the KX Akademy, which helps talented young drivers that exhibit exceptional talent and determination.

Shortly after the race, Tom expressed his delight at the win and thanked Hansford Sensors, his parents and all those who have supported him. "It's a combination of so much hard work and also the amazing support of so many amazing people - the KX Akademy, Hansford Sensors... if it wasn't for their support my racing career would have finished years ago. It's absolutely fantastic. I can't even begin to describe how pleased I am."

Chris Hansford, managing director of Hansford Sensors, comments: "I predicted at the beginning of the sponsorship Tom would be very good indeed and now he's proved himself a champion at yet another level of motor racing. I'm delighted that he has achieved so much so soon in his career and I'm proud that Hansford Sensors has played a part in it."
