Thermoplastic bearing housings

Thermoplastic bearing housings Rino Industries has recently added a new thermoplastic range of bearing housings to its range of mechanical components. They are interchangeable with the more traditional cast iron housings (which can scratch, chip and peel), and because they are made from solid PBT, coatings are not required to protect them. Consequently, their smooth surfaces are much more hygienic than those of cast iron housings whose rough surfaces can harbour objectionable dirt, mould or bacteria. This makes the suited for use within the food industry as they are FDA approved, or where a clean, dust-free environment is of critical importance. In addition, they are capable of working in operating temperatures of between -35degC to +102degC. They are made from high-grade glass filled thermoplastic polyester making them virtually maintenance free as well as having excellent mechanical strengths, stiffness and dimensional stability. And they can never rust or corrode, the company says.
