Touchscreens at reduced cost

Touchscreens at reduced cost New from IDEC is the HG1F touchscreen display. This replaces the successful HG1B display with a unit that has many improved functions but at a cost reduction of 38 percent. A bright (500 cd/m2) high contrast monochrome LCD has a resolution of 300x100 pixels and carries sixteen adjustable brightness levels. An analogue touch panel means objects can be expanded from the minimum 16x16 pixel size and placed anywhere on the screen. The ability to display your application in landscape or portrait mode with scrollable pages means the HG1F has the ability to handle most complex tasks. High speed I/O links means up to 16 HG1F units can be connected together for sharing of information and, when connected to a PLC, ladder programming is possible if the pass through programming mode is selected. The thin housing has all connection/access points at the rear, covering RS232, RS485, programming, and compartment for the replaceable battery. And with a depth of only 35mm, the HG1F can fit into the smallest of spaces. The updated WindO/I software which can also program the larger HG touchscreens can set up the HG1F to display many languages (including Chinese, Baltic and various European) as well as English, and carries software drivers for connection to other manufacturers PLCs. Options include 24V DC supply, RS232 and RS485 ports, calendar/clock with replaceable battery, bar code reader function, recipe function, Gray scale, high speed I/O link.
