Turck succeeds with sensors in China

Turck succeeds with sensors in China A Chinese company producing monitoring systems for the overhead contact lines of railway vehicles gladly accepted Turck's assistance for a demanding application, finding the ideal solution in the Uprox Plus inductive sensor. The new generation of inductive sensors is a further development of the known and well-established Uprox principle, where the receiver and emitter coils are no longer designed as coil windings, but directly printed onto the circuit board, improving signal evaluation. Thanks to the new and unique coil technology, these sensors achieve a switching distance that is up to 250% higher than that of conventional inductive sensors with a ferrite core. And no reduction factor has to be taken into account. Uprox Plus sensors are capable of detecting materials such as iron, stainless steel, copper, aluminium and brass at the same high distance and with the highest precision. The non-flush Uprox Plus sensors used in the railway application do not require large metal-free mounting zones based on the integrated pre-damping protection. Sensor embedding up to the upper edge of the thread is perfectly possible. The pre-damping effect is automatically compensated via the self-compensation function.
