Vision system ring lights save energy

Vision system ring lights save energy Balluff has long offered high-quality, industrial-strength lights as components for image processing systems or as accessories for its vision sensors. Newly added to the line are cost- and energy-saving ring lights for standard applications.

The new ring lights with red, white or infrared sources are not only less expensive, but also highly energy-efficient thanks to the latest LED technology. This helps save operating costs. With an outer diameter of 100mm these lights feature a rugged aluminium housing, an industry standard M12 pigtail connection and can be triggered. The optical surface is made of acrylic, making it virtually unbreakable.

Ring lights are used as an ancillary illuminator in parts inspection or for reading barcode and 2-dimensional codes (data matrix). These rugged lights are also ideal for workplace illumination thanks to their high brightness. And safety in the workplace is always a given, since all Balluff lights meet the newest applicable standard (IEC 62471), are tested for eye safety, and are powered with 24V DC.

When highly reflective parts need to be illuminated, use of a diffuser attachment is recommended, which Balluff offers as an optional accessory. This prevents strong reflections.
