A vision for future proofing

Mitsubishi Electric"s new E1000 HMI range brings plant mimics to life with its large, high resolution screens, fast graphics handling capability and large memory, giving operators accurate, clearly understandable and up to the moment information on plant status. And it"s all encased in a tough, cast aluminium housing, certified to IP65.

A vision for future proofing

"The clarity and timely accuracy of reporting offered by the E1000 will set new standards in operator expectation," says Jeff Whiting at Mitsubishi. "Its screen images truly reflect the plant and process conditions. This reduces the likelihood of operator misjudgment and allows the maintenance team to drill down into the operation and status of the process in greater depth when required. The speed of the E1000"s processor and its multi-tasking ability allow it to optimise the polling times, meaning that data presented will always be up to date, even with complex images and multiple PLC and data sources."

Mitsubishi says the E1000 series HMI is the first to use Intel Xscale processor technology, is built on the Windows CE.NET open operating system, and has been ergonomically designed for ease of use. It was designed and developed in response to HMI-user requests for increasing functionality, higher speed and open connnectivity.
