Abssac invests in CNC turning centre for lead and ball screws
Abssac has installed a new ROMI GL250M CNC turning centre, which it says transforms its machining scope and capability. The turning centre offs integral C axis milling capability for off centre drilling, as well as a milling process for items such as key ways and polygon turning.
The company says that working closely with its customers to supply a finished ready to fit linear product not only reduces their scrap rates, but also ensures that the lead screw and nut fit tolerances are maintained every time.
The new machine is part of the long-term vision of the company and its progressive UK manufacturing goals.
