Brushless slotted flat motor is highly compact

New from Portescap is the 20ECF brushless slotted flat motor, which is characterised by a flat architecture and a compact package size.

Rather than the more usual 20mm, the new motor’s rotor diameter is 19mm. Further its open architectural design ensures lower heating, and at fifteen grams, Portescap says the 20ECF can provide mass savings of some 30% percent over other motion solutions. The company also asserts that the motor’s design optimisation helps it achieve a 50% improved motor regulation factor relative to standard available solutions.
