Kontron partners with AI chipmaker Hailo to launch edge AI inference solutions

Kontron has forged a strategic technology partnership with leading AI chipmaker Hailo to offer next generation AI edge inference solutions. The advanced Hailo-8 AI processor, performing at 26 tera-operations per second (TOPS) at a typical power consumption of less than 2.5 watts, enables edge devices to run at performance levels previously only possible in the cloud.

CLPA"s future-oriented open network technology under the spotlight at SPS

The CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) will participate online in the SPS – smart production solutions event via the ‘SPS on air’ digital platform to emphasise the role of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) in digital transformation. Stratasys partners with Ecco to innovate footwear manufacturing

Danish shoe manufacturer Ecco is using Stratasys Origin One 3D printing technology to accelerate product development, allowing conceptual footwear samples to be reviewed early in the development cycle using 3D printed moulds and lasts (mechanical forms shaped like a foot) with resin materials from Henkel Loctite.

Specialist Norbar torque tool made-to-order for London Underground

Norbar Torque Tools’ specialist engineering department has developed a unique torque tool for London Underground. The new tool has been developed to solve a specific engineering challenge, namely the removal and refit of the inter-car coupler mounting bolts on the fleet of 47 Bombardier 09 Stock trains used on the Victoria Line in London and maintained at the Northumberland Park depot.

Sheffield based Neilson Hydraulics and Engineering, the producer of power units, hydraulic systems and supplies a vast range of hydraulic components, has expanded. The company has moved from its factory in Catcliffe to larger premises in the heart of Sheffield’s engineering quarter on Sanderson Street to expand their in-house manufacturing and design capabilities.
