The number of devices communicating via CC-Link IE TSN and CC-Link IE open industrial Ethernet as well as CC-Link fieldbus has increased by over 12% in the last year (1), reaching nearly 30 million installed nodes worldwide. Renishaw returns replica of twelfth-century candlestick to Gloucester

Renishaw is working with Gloucester Cathedral and the Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum, London, to recreate the Gloucester Candlestick using metal additive manufacturing (3D printing) technology. The original candlestick is on show at the V&A Museum, while the Renishaw manufactured replica will be displayed and used at Gloucester Cathedral.

Renishaw joins project to automate additive manufacturing post-processing

Global engineering technologies company Renishaw is collaborating with UK start-up business Additive Automations, as part of a project to automate metal additive manufacturing (AM) post-processing, which involves using collaborative robots (cobots) to perform support structure removal. The project could reduce the average cost per part by 25 per cent, furthering AM’s potential as a cost-effective option for large volume production lines.
