2-factor authentication increases security of industrial systems

eWON reports that more than 5000 of its users are already benefiting from its 2-factor authentication (2FA) security feature, which was launched at the beginning of 2015. 2FA is aimed at protecting eWON customers from unauthorised access to their account and machine information. Failure to conduct oil checks a "major cause" of hydraulic failure

A new report published today calls on engineers to implement regular oil analysis as part of a preventive maintenance programme. 'Oil contamination - The origins, treatment and analysis of contaminated oil in hydraulic systems' reveals that, although 80 per cent of all hydraulic failures on machinery can be traced back to contaminated oil, effective analysis is often overlooked due to the time and resource required to implement.
