Variohm EuroSensor has added a new range of keypads and controllers from Italian manufacturer Blink Marine to its extensive product portfolio. Powerkey, PowerTrack, and Powerkey Pro series keypads offer exceptional durability and flexibility through models that variously include CANopen, J1939 and RS485 communication profiles and offer industry leading features such as relegendable buttons with customisable/interchangeable inserts as well as fully configurable and personalised LED indicators plus LED backlights.

Chain offers high performance in wet and corrosive environments

There are four versions of Tsubaki’s BS/DIN European Standard Chain for use in corrosive environments. Tsubaki says each version is designed to outlast standard chains and provide a cost-effective operating solution across the widest range of operating environments, including low temperature, sanitary, outdoor, wet and humid atmospheres. With lower operating noise and lube free options there is a chain type in this range that will be ideal for most applications.

Draw wire sensors in wire lengths from 1 to 42.5m

British Encoder Products Company’s new LCX Series draw wire units work with BEPC encoders to accurately measure position and provide motion feedback in motion control applications. The LCX Series of draw wire solutions is manufactured for BEPC/EPC by British Encoder Products’ German technology partner and offers wire lengths from 1 to 42.5 metres in length.

High-power electrical connectors for the future

To tackle climate change, Nationally Determined Contribution objectives have advised that the global demand for electricity will increase by 80 to 90 per cent by 2050. These objectives resulted from the Paris Agreement in 2015, an agreement made at the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference, which aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change.

Wide input DC-DC converter series is in a space saving package

The high efficiency K78Uxx-500R3 series of switching regulators have been designed by Mornsun and are said to be ideal for use in space constrained and cost-conscious designs. The switching regulators are available from Relec Electronics, and are offered with a wide input range of 9.0–90V DC and with outputs ranging from 3.0–24V DC.

IFM measures air gaps with micro-metre precision

When a workpiece must be positioned accurately to within a fraction of a millimetre, or when it’s necessary to measure the surface roughness of an item, the new SDP110 air-gap sensor from IFM Electronic provides an effective and easily implemented solution. This novel sensor, which uses air flowing through a nozzle to measure the distance between the nozzle and the workpiece, has a resolution of 5µm, which is just one-tenth of the thickness of a typical human hair. Maximum measuring range is 400 µm.

NCTE expands 2300 series torque sensors with low measurement range variant

NCTE, the German sensor manufacturer has expanded its 2300 torque sensor series with the introduction of a new variant for lower torque-range measurement tasks down to 0.5 Nm. Available with full support from NCTE’s UK distribution partner, Ixthus Instrumentation, the series now covers a torque range from 100 Nm down to 0.5 Nm.
