Kontron has expanded its control platform based on the SBC Pi-Tron CM3+ to include CODESYS, the leading hardware-independent software for industrial PLC applications. The integrated development environment CODESYS for programmable logic controllers (PLC) according to the IEC 61131-3 standards is regarded as the leading, hardware-independent software for application development in industrial automation.

Inductive sensors now available in compact D3 and M4 housing

Wenglor says its product family of inductive sensors with increased switching distances features enhanced performance in miniature design. A total of eight new sensors from the I03 and I04 series in the compact D3 and M4 housing are available for detecting metallic objects in confined systems.

High clamp force PCB retainers available from Foremost

Foremost Electronics can now supply the nVent/Schroff Card-Lok range of innovative high thermal performance and high clamp force PCB retainers for use in rugged environments. The new Card-Lok retainers have been designed to be drop-in replacements for most applications currently using standard Card-Loks and provide on average more than 3X the amount of clamp force compared to similarly sized Card-Loks.

LEM launches high accuracy transducer for current measurement of trackside applications

LEM has introduced a new current transducer series, said to be ideal for retrofitting trackside applications or for reducing the cost of new installations. Due to its robust design and standardised 4-20 mA out, it can also be used in automation or the control of PV-plants. The transducer’s primary circuit (patent pending), in combination with two ASiCs to detect the magnetic field, enables precise current measurement.
