Drivers for high-power cw laser diodes

PicoLAS introduced two new drivers of the LDP-CW 250-40 series to offer efficient control of high-performance continuous wave laser diodes. The electronics are housed in an ultra-compact casing and achieve an output power of 10kW at a power density of 5W/cm³. At an efficiency of 94%, both models generate a maximum output current of 250A and an output voltage of up to 40V.

Visual indication IP69K stainless steel compression latch from Emka

Emka has developed an IP69K compression latch in stainless steel with visual status indication to suit railway and other special vehicle applications. This allows for distanced observation of the lock status – whether the lock is open or closed – by virtue of a cover which is linked to the lock. If the lock is open then the cover is held open. Due to its compact design and high weather resistance the latch can be used in many outdoor areas, such as wind power plants, tunnel construction, traffic facilities and rail vehicles.

Magnetic angle sensor fits into door hinges

Narrow and slim installation spaces in industrial applications require special sensor designs. Furthermore, these sensors often have to withstand harsh environmental conditions such as humidity, dirt and intensive cleaning processes. ASM presents a sensor that meets these requirements: posirot PRAS1 is a very small magnetic angle sensor in a narrow rod design. The sensor measures only 10.6 mm in diameter and has a length of 53 mm. Due to its slim design, the sensor is suitable for very narrow installation spaces and fits especially well into door hinges.

IFM provides all-in-one control and monitoring for quarter-turn valves

Featuring compact construction and easy mounting, the new MVQ201 valve sensor from IFM Electronic not only evaluates the valve position to the nearest degree, but also has an integral M12 connection that can be used for connecting the pneumatic actuator solenoid. With this option, the valve is controlled via the same IO-Link connection used to monitor the sensor, which eliminates the need for separate valve wiring, thereby reducing both installation complexity and cost.
