Schaeffler to buy green steel from Swedish start-up company H2greensteel

Schaeffler has entered into an agreement with Swedish start-up company H2greensteel to purchase 100,000 tons of the virtually CO2-free steel, which is produced using hydrogen, on an annual basis with effect from 2025. This makes Schaeffler the first tier 1 supplier worldwide to become a customer of the innovative start-up company. The agreement is set for the long-term and includes the delivery of strip steel.

RS Components marks official opening of extended distribution centre

RS Components has held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the expansion of the company’s distribution centre (DC) at Bad Hersfeld, Germany. RS has made a significant investment over the past two years to create one of the company’s largest distribution centres in its global supply chain network, fully automated and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. At the official opening event, customers and suppliers were invited to see the highly automated stock processing capability and warehouse management system now installed at the site.

Zytronic’s all-weather capacitive (PCT and MPCT) touch sensors are helping visitors to the Sydney Olympic Park navigate their way around. Mine operator switches to cam clutch backstop to prevent material pile up and reduce maintenance

A global mining operator has upgraded the backstop on its incline conveyors to non-rollover cam technology to prevent material pile up on stops and stalls. Tsubaki’s cam clutch design also incorporates rollers, contributing to longer life operation, enhanced by a labyrinth seal for significantly reduced ingress. As well as enhancing operational efficiency, the backstop will also give the operator a reduced total cost of ownership.
