Rittal Ri4Power switchgear and busbar system installed on ocean liner

A Rittal Ri4Power switchgear and busbar system has been installed in Logos Hope, a 442-passenger ship. The ocean liner, which sails around ports predominantly in South-East Asia, Africa and the Middle East, is operated on behalf of OM Ships International, a Christian training and outreach movement, by GBA Ships e.V., a private, non-profit, charitable organisation registered in Germany.

RFID tracks visitors at Zip World

Zip World won international acclaim when it opened Zip World Velocity at Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda in March 2013. Colour options brighten up enclosures

New standard red or blue anodised finishes to the 1455 family of extruded aluminium instrument cases from Hammond Electronics enable designers to make their products stand out from the crowd without going to the time and expense of specifying custom finishes. On show at Southern Manufacturing, the extensive 1455 family consists of 22 sizes from the compact 60 x 45 x 25 mm to the largest 220 x 165 x 52 mm size. All sizes are now available in a durable red or blue anodised finish in addition to the original clear and black anodised options.

Circular connector offers space savings

Circular connectors from Yamaichi Electronics will be highlighted at Southern Electronics 2016. The push-pull locking mechanism, says the company, offers cost advantages due to material reduction and thus space saving design. The new model, the Y-Circ P uses the push-pull locking mechanism for simple insertion and unlocking of the connector by pulling on the housing.
