Eaton launches new CPD seminar on IE3

Power management company Eaton today announced that it has launched a new CPD seminar entitled Switchgear for IE3 motors. Approved by the CPD Certification Service for meeting the standards required for CPD training courses, the seminar is aimed at machine and system builders and looks at what the ErP directive means for switching and protection systems for electric motors.

Aerco, the Horsham-based electrical component distributor, has acquired 100% of Electro Cables, the specialist distributor of wire and cable interconnection products. The purchase is due to the planned retirement of the previous owners of the business.

Intelligent RFID transponder incorporates monitoring functions for sensor data

Harting has enhanced its RFID Embedded Transponder (ETB) with a range of extended functions including the ability to monitor and transmit sensor data. As a result, it becomes possible for an object or component that is equipped with an RFID transponder to determine and wirelessly transfer not only its own ID, but also its current status with the help of connected sensors. This supports the Internet of Things principle in which passive devices can communicate with one another.

M12 PushPull Ethernet connector offers tool-free installation

Harting expands DIN 41612 connector family with M inverse connector style

Harting has expanded its family of DIN 41612 connectors by adding devices in the M inverse style. This connector style is especially suited to implementing combined connections between circuit boards in which signal, coaxial, high-current (up to 40A) or optical fibre transmissions need to be combined in one connector for greater flexibility.
