Auto-follow sports drone takes off with Stratasys 3D printing

UAV start-up company, Helico, has successfully introduced AirDog, the world's first automated drone designed to track and video outdoor sports and activities, prototyped using Stratasys 3D printing technology. Aimed primarily at the consumer market, AirDog is an innovative, yet simple-to-use, 'quad-copter' that operates via a wrist-worn tracking device and accommodates a standard GoPro sports camera. Users can automatically capture exciting live aerial video footage and still photography of themselves, having set distance, speed and height levels for AirDog to follow.

Verotec wins contract to supply custom enclosures for flight simulators

Verotec has won a multi-year contract from a major North American manufacturer of flight simulators to supply more than 50,000 modified subrack front panels. 50 different designs of panel, in heights of 3U and 6U and in widths from 2HP to 16HP, are needed. The IEEE1101.10 compliant panels are modified variants of Verotec's standard extruded aluminium panels.
