Handle eases hot-swapping of boards

Schroff has introduced a new hot-swap-capable handle for the insertion and withdrawal of AdvancedTCA carriers and MicroTCA mid-size modules. Featuring a rugged die-cast metal construction, the IEA handle can be used with stainless-steel or aluminium front panels.

Handles with more style

A stylish recessed handle from Elesa makes carrying of cases or mobile or tray mounted equipment much easier than struggling without hand grips. The recessed GN425.4 folds down flat when not in use and opens out to provide a sturdy secure hand grip when it is required. It comprises a robust diecast backing plate in black finish with four-point attachment, housing a 10mm chrome plated steel carry handle.

IP65 sealed enclosure is stylish and rugged

Hammond's new 1457 range extends the capabilities of the 1455 extruded aluminium family of small enclosures with the addition of IP65 sealed die-cast aluminium end panels, enabling the enclosure to be used in dusty and wet environments. The end panels are available with or without integral flanges that enable the enclosure to be mounted to an external surface.

Safer testing in the lab

The fast and safe testing of high voltages up to 5kV AC and 6kV DC is provided by the portable bench-top Sentinel HiPot/flash/dielectric tester now available from Clare Instruments. Product features one touch testing, selectable ramp and dwell periods for accurate test control. Safe programmable test sequences are provided by the inclusion of an arc detection feature capable of monitoring low energy discharges in equipment under test.
