DesignSpark Mechanical 3D CAD modelling software receives latest upgrade

RS Components has unveiled the latest version of DesignSpark Mechanical, the free-for-download 3D CAD modelling software. Version 5.0 offers new features, enhancements and customisation options that have been developed following feedback from users. The new release coincides with the 10-year anniversary of DesignSpark.

Solvent-free coatings create durable anti-slip surfaces

To help reduce slips and falls in the workplace, Henkel has added two new products to its coatings range. They are Loctite PC 6315 and Loctite PC 6262 and both create an anti-slip coating on concrete, asphalt, wood, ceramic, fibreglass and metal surfaces.

Ultra high temperature sealants from Henkel

Specifically formulated for use in high temperature and high-pressure environments, Loctite NS 5540 and 5550 are sealing compounds that cure in the presence of heat to form a mechanical seal on metal-to-metal flanges and fittings. They are designed to allow for disassembly during routine maintenance and can also be used as a gasket dressing to extend the service life of traditional gaskets.

Smallest, highly effective handheld plasma treatment device

Adhesives specialist Intertronics presents what it claims is the world’s smallest plasma handheld device, the piezobrush PZ3. It efficiently uses cold atmospheric pressure plasma for the surface treatment of plastics, metals and natural materials. The plasma treatment activates, functionalises and cleans surfaces. This can significantly improve the quality of subsequent processes such as bonding, printing, varnishing or coating – anywhere with adhesion challenges. The latest model has improved performance, power control and process monitoring.
