EPLAN extends online services

EPLAN is reacting constructively to the changing market conditions by offering a comprehensive package of online services to support engineers working from home. The services are being implemented progressively and will ultimately include webcasts that provide practical support on key topics, opportunities for remote consultations and meetings with experts via video conferencing, and informative online training courses from the EPLAN Training Academy.

EPLAN extends online services

Already available for streaming is the one-hour webcast “Remote working with EPLAN”, which provides users with practical support to help them adapt to their new working environment. Among the topics it covers are remote access to EPLAN software, VPN connections to company networks and cloning master data. A second webcast, “More efficient use of the EPLAN Platform and new engineering methods”, is also on the agenda and will cover topics such as automation in panel building and switchgear system engineering, PLM integration, and macro technology.

While in the past on-site face-to-face meetings have been the norm, especially for the delivery of services like training and consultancy, EPLAN customers can now take advantage of these services via video conferencing. Customers can, for example, profitably use the remote consultancy services to take a closer look at their processes and to become proactive about implementing optimisation that may be long overdue.

EPLAN’s Vice President Professional Services, Bernd Schewior explains: “Our goal is to be available for our users at any time. Right now, we’re offering online meetings and remote services where we answer customer questions in real time. These services were added at the start of the year and have already become an integral part of our training programme to become an EPLAN Certified Engineer.”

The EPLAN Training Academy is also working hard to expand its range of e-learning services. The academy offers training courses on various key topics including basic training for many products, as well as in-depth training courses on macro and device technology, device and master-data creation, and PLCs.
