Hand-held enclosures in die-cast aluminium
New from Rolec are the IP66 HandCase enclosures, delivering fully styled hand-held enclosures made from die-cast aluminium rather than ABS plastic. As a result, these enclosures are very robust, and offer a high degree of EMC protection as standard. However, they are also ergonomically styled and offer an equally attractive design to other plastic enclosures on the market.
The HandCase enclosures are manufactured in die-cast aluminium GD AL Si 12. The assembly consists of the top, base and battery compartment lid, plus two moulded rubber sealing gaskets and four screw gaskets. The cases are assembled by four M3 machine screws.
These enclosures are sealed to IP66 protection class and offered in three standard sizes: 180x80x42mm, 220x100x42mm and 220x100x62mm. The two smaller sizes are supplied with an integral battery compartment for four 1.5V AA cells or two 9V cells.
