Mixed signal oscilloscope family sets a new standard

The new Yokogawa DLM2000 Series is a new family of mixed-signal oscilloscopes (MSOs) that the company says represent a major step forward in terms of price, performance and ease of use.

With up to 500MHz bandwidth and 2GS/s sampling speed, the new oscilloscopes are said to have the longest memory (up to 125M points) and fastest update rate (up to 450,000 waveforms per second) in this class of instrument. In addition, the combination of flexible analogue and digital inputs, plus a large-screen display in a compact ergonomically styled body, makes the instruments exceptionally easy to use. In addition to the key performance specifications, the DLM2000 Series features a number of advanced measurement and analysis features, including histogram and trending functions, up to 20,000 history memories, digital filtering, zoom windows, user-defined mathematics and serial bus analysis.

"Mixed-signal oscilloscopes represent the fastest-growing sector of the oscilloscope market, and this new range brings advanced MSO performance into the same affordable price bracket as portable general-purpose oscilloscopes," comments Yokogawa's Terry Marrinan. "We believe that the DLM2000's combination of high performance, user-friendly features and affordability will make it a real winner."
