Materials handling for the food industry
Interroll presented its technical solutions for the food industry at IFFA 2016, displaying drum motors for use in the processing and distribution of products, as well as its recently launched MSC 50 magnetic speed controller and MultiControl network card. All of these products contribute to optimising users’ system operation, are highly efficient and comply with strict hygiene specifications of the industry.
Drum motors provide highly efficient drive solutions, and Interroll's syn-chronous drum motors combine the advantages of a drum motor with the high efficiency of a synchronous servo motor. The result is an extremely compact and dynamic drive with an outstanding efficiency of about 85%. Drum motors can be rubber coated to meet a variety of specifications, making them flexible building blocks for highly efficient conveying processes. Interroll drum motors are certified to meet strict EHEDG standards.
The MSC 50 is a cost-effective solution for controlling the speed of boxes and plastic trays traveling on gravity roller conveyors and spirals or the end sections of sorters. Suitable for handling goods weighing between 0.5kg and 35kg, the innovative system ensures lightweight packages move smoothly, while limiting the speed of heavy goods traveling along the conveyor.
MultiControl can be used as a network card or autonomous controller. It includes the necessary logic for zero pressure accumulation.
