Screw compressors boost energy efficiency

Aerzen Machines is launching its fifth generation of screw compressors into the UK and Ireland. The new Delta Screw Generation 5 products have a number of essential advantages, chief among which is their energy efficiency.

There are two compressor profiles to maximise efficiencies, and accessory components have been optimised to reduce pressure losses by up to 20%. EFF1 energy efficient motors are used as standard.

Sound pressure levels have been reduced by up to 6dB(A) with the discharge silencer completely free of absorbent material - a totally reactive design. A further advantage is ATEX-certification, with the design serving as a spark arrester so the expense of additional spark arresters is no longer necessary.

The compact design and shoulder to shoulder installation capability reduces machine room space and civils costs. Finally, the new design ensures reduced maintenance time and cost. Maintenance is carried out from the front of the machine. The oil level can even be checked from outside the machine whilst it is running and because the drive motor is installed on a hinged mounting plate its own weight automatically optimises the belt tension.
