Southco acquires Counterbalance Corporation
Southco has successfully acquired Counterbalance Corporation, a US-based manufacturer of modular torsion spring systems. Counterbalance’s patented position control technology is specially engineered to minimise the effort required to lift lids, covers, hatches and countertops.
Solutions comprised of this technology can be found in equipment and countertop applications across a diverse range of industries, including medical, industrial, military, education, hospitality and food service.
The integration of this unique design and manufacturing capability will strengthen Southco’s wider global positioning technology product portfolio, enhancing the performance of positioning technology to encompass an even wider range of applications, with higher load forces. This will, in turn, benefit Southco’s extensive customer base by enabling it to better assist customers in solving their design and manufacturing challenges.
