Tesa manufacturing plants achieve top level energy management accreditation

Tesa has received global recognition for its energy management systems. The company is committed to ensuring quality processes meet international standards and following the installation of ultra-modern energy monitoring systems at its manufacturing operations in Hamburg and Offenburg, Germany, both plants have received ISO 50001:2011.

>The Hamburg plant, home to over Tesa 500 employees, is one of the world's most technologically-advanced production facilities, and Tesa's Offenburg plant is constantly recognised as an innovator in its field.

>The criteria for the ISO 50001:2-11 accreditation included developing a policy for more efficient use of energy, fixing targets and objectives, measuring results, reviewing how well the policy works and continuous improvement of the energy management processes.

>Jeremy Smith, Tesa's UK Marketing Manager, commented: "As part of the international Tesa environmental Management system, production sites have been implementing successful energy-saving projects for many years.  We are delighted that our efforts have been recognised and rewarded."
