Why make things difficult when they can be simple? With EMKA's new 125 degree clip-in hinge, available in various materials, doors and flaps can be easily attached to and detached from the frame. The internal hinge for surface-mounted doors is suitable for classic industrial applications and for special vehicle construction or rail vehicles.
Traditional hinge systems typically make it awkward to install a door or flap that is mounted on the surface. The hinge pin can only be pressed in if the door frame bracket and door bracket are positioned exactly in relation to each other. As there are usually several hinges, this process must be conducted on all hinges.
Disassembly is also laborious. Depending on the installation situation, the hinge pin must be pulled up or down or driven out in order to separate the door from the door frame. However, there is often not enough space above or below the hinge. EMKA now offers a simple solution to this problem with its new 125 degree hinge family.
The internal and therefore invisible hinge can be attached to the left or right of the frame. To attach the door or flap to the frame, the door assembly is placed on the plastic sliding discs of the frame part. It is then simply pushed horizontally towards the hinge pin until the door part audibly clicks into place.
This clip function distinguishes the new hinge from conventional hinges. This is because the hinge pin is permanently installed in the frame part and therefore does not need to be moved up or down. The guide automatically moves the assembly into the correct position. With light pressure against the door, the door parts of the hinges lock and are securely connected to the frame part. No tools are required, and the door does not need to be locked. Simply pressing the open door creates a secure connection between the door part and the frame.
The door or flap can be removed just as easily. To do this, pull the latch on the door part assembly to unlock the door part. In this open position, the latch does not need to be held down because it locks into place. The other hinges can now be opened one after the other in the same way. The door or flap can then be removed quickly and easily.
The 125 clip hinge was awarded the German Innovation Award 2025 for its user-friendliness and innovative design. The jury particularly praised the tool-free installation and easy handling, which set the hinge apart from conventional models. This award underlines EMKA's continuous innovative strength and the high quality of its solutions. In addition, the hinge has been successfully shock and vibration tested in accordance with DIN EN 61373 Cat. 1B and tested in continuous operation.
